Poker Betting Rules

It does not matter which variant of poker you want to play, you need to be familiar with the betting rules of the game. There are Limit, No Limit and Pot Limit games and tournaments at Party Poker, and different betting rules apply in these games. When you play Limit poker, as the name of the game shows, the bets are limited to a fixed size. It means that you are not allowed to make larger than preliminarily fixed bets and in the same time you cannot make smaller bets than the Big Blind bet.

For this reason, No Limit poker is preferred and played more often in the online poker rooms. * Raise - a player in a poker game Raises when he increases the size of the pot. You can choose the option to Raise when you think your hand is strong enough to beat your opponents' hands. 

* Fold - to Fold means to withdraw from the current hand and lose all your previous wagers. For every poker player it is very unpleasant to Fold, but when you hold a weak hand, Folding will be the best decision for you.
